Fiduciary Services

As a 3(21) fiduciary, we give advice & recommendations to assure that your investment lineup is positioned in the best interest of participants.

You retain ultimate decision-making authority while we work together on your structured investment design. If your interest is in a custom-designed investment menu, then 3(21) if the right fit.

As a 3(38) fiduciary, we are responsible for selecting, managing, monitoring, and benchmarking the investment offerings of the plan.

Some employers wish to utlize a 3(38) investment fiduicary to delegate full authority of decisions about the investment lineup. The 3(38) investment manager then has complete discretion and authority on fund selections initially and ongoing.

By delegating the job of managing the investment lineup to the 3(38) fiduicary, your responsibility is significantly limited; however, there are other considerations. The trade off with 3(38) is that the investment menu cannot be customized by the employer - it is decided exclusively by the manager.
